My estrogen fix

Anyone who knows me and my family, knows that I am the only female surrounded by a sea of testosterone.  Though I truly love being the QUEEN of my domain, it can be challenging when trying to do activities as a family.  I would sit at home alone while my husband would take his sons to WWF wrestling or their many fishing or primitive camping trips.  One of the ways I would cope and try to get some estrogen flowing is through sewing.  It has been a while since I made an apron so I thought is was time.

This is the pattern I chose for my new apron. 

These are all the pieces need and cut out for the apron.

Assembling the band that goes across the top of the pocket.  I can't get over how wrinkled my hands look.  It might be time to quit washing the dishes by hand.

Here is the apron almost completely assembled.  It was so much fun doing something "girly" now if I only had a model to show off my new apron.....hhmmmm

I don't think he is too happy to be doing this for his mother....hhmmm

My husband wasn't very enthusiastic either....oh well, we all know there is one member of my family who is very happy to model this for you.

                                                                                It is so nice to know that a tour of duty in Iraq didn't change my sweet sons dispostion.
