Today was a very proud moment in both my husband and my life. We watched our youngest son get his rank of First Class in the Boy Scouts. I say proud because as I watched our son, Garrett stand up there I couldn't help but reflect on the self perseverance it took for him to make it this far. He has demonstrated to us that he is extremely self motivated and such a young man of Honor. How could we be anything but proud of him. I was reminded so humbly that God has only given Randy and myself a very limited amount of time to train this young man to become a man that not only loves his God but also his country. As I sat there tonight I couldn't help but swell up with gratitude at the thought that at this very moment our oldest son serves so proudly in Iraq and our youngest strives to be the best he can be. How can we be so blessed. My prayer will be that I will always be aware of the awesome responsibilty I have to "Train up my son in the way he should go." To become men of integrity and character. To not only love God with all their heart but also to love their country with the best of their ability...
